The Firefighter’s Fast Check, an upgrade of the very popular Firefighter’s Guide for Urban/Wildland Situations, is an 8½″ by 16″ laminated guide that folds into four panels.
Designed to be carried on the engine, in fireline backpacks, or posted in stations, the Fast Check provides a quick reference to safety points, size-up, fire weather and behavior, flame length and rate of spread indicators, structure triage and engine placement and setup.
A new section deals with “situation avoidance.”
